Research Data Files

The data were used in part to prepare the reports "To Establish Justice, To Ensure Domestic Tranquility" and "Assassination and Political Violence: A Report of the National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence." This series consists of data files containing the results from an attitudinal survey on acts o f and official reactions to violence; an extract of mortality data on gunshot fatalities; and a sample of data from newspaper accounts of politically violent acts against officials or groups of officials.
