We employed a hashtag-based sampling strategy using the hashtag #tradwife on TikTok.
Description
The web-browser plugin Zeeschuimer was used to automatically record TikTok video metadata through the platform’s desktop interface. This dataset was then imported into 4CAT, a social media data collection and analysis tool for data pre-processing.
After eliminating duplicate videos with identical identification codes, a sample of 871 TikTok videos remained. This sample contained videos published between April 4, 2020, and May 23, 2024.
