Raw Data for an Empirical Study on the Effect of Professional Commitment on Employment Anxiety Among Undergraduates in Applied Private Universities: Based on Moderating and Mediating Effects

This study adopted a questionnaire survey method.
Description
The participants were undergraduate students from an applied private university in Qingdao. Questionnaires were distributed via Wenjuanxing in April 2026.
Based on the findings of Study 1, sophomores, juniors and seniors with relatively high levels of employment anxiety were selected as main respondents. Participants were recruited through random sampling, yielding 994 raw samples and 799 valid samples.SPSS 26.0 was used for data processing and analysis. Reliability analysis and common method bias test were conducted to verify the stability and reliability of the scales.

Descriptive statistics were performed to explore the overall distribution of core variables. Correlation analysis was adopted to examine the relationships among professional commitment, psychological capital, proactive personality and employment anxiety. Finally, regression analysis was used to test the mediating and moderating effects in sequence, so as to systematically clarify the mechanism underlying these variables.
