Field data were collected in the Minganie and Basse-Côte-Nord, Quebec, Canada, peatlands in july 2022.
Description
These data support the article "Vegetation shifts in boreal ombrotrophic peatlands following road construction" by Bouffard et al. Submitted to Applied Vegetation Science DOI: XXX. The dataset comprises vascular plant, bryophyte and lichen cover data collected from 541 plots distributed across 14 peatlands.
It also includes contextual observations (peatland type, surficial deposit, road age, presence of watercourses, etc.) and environmental measurements (pH, electrical conductivity, water table depth, and peat thickness). Plot locations are provided as geographic coordinates in NAD83. The complete R code used for statistical analyses and figure preparation is included.
