Diversity of domestic and imported assemblages of Giardia in Norway and multi-locus sequence typing of domestic assemblage A isolates

This study represents the first Giardia subtyping study in Norway, showing that sub-assemblage AII was predominant in domestic cases, while sub-assemblage BIV was common in imported cases. We also identified high genetic diversity among domestic assemblage A isolates, including five novel MLST variants.

The dataset contains the clinical data (for confidentiality, no patient identities are disclosed in this dataset) and all corresponding sequences in FASTA format.
