Four-dimensional computed tomography data for medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction planning

The dataset contains 66 knee acquisition records from 58 participants, including bilateral knee records from 8 participants and unilateral knee records from 50 participants. During a standardized supine active knee flexion-extension task, each knee was scanned using the same 320-row computed tomography system and reconstructed into 20–30 time-resolved three-dimensional knee models.To protect participant privacy, the openly released dataset is limited to final processed PLY point-cloud files generated after 4D-CT conversion, processing and cortical-surface reconstruction.

Associated metadata, STL model derivatives, landmark coordinate tables, kinematic records, MPFL length records, processing files and original DICOM/4D-CT image series are available only through controlled access after requesters contact the corresponding author, describe the intended data use and receive approval after review.The dataset can support reuse in patellofemoral kinematics, dynamic orthopaedic imaging, landmark localization, MPFL graft-length estimation, biomechanical modelling, computational surgical planning and validation of individualized ligament reconstruction workflows.
