Hij verbleef te West-Java. De geïnterviewde vertelt vervolgens over de periode rond de Japanse inval.
De familie werd belaagd omdat zijn vader NSB'er was. De geïnterviewde kwam tijdens de bezetting in verschillende kampen terecht, onder andere het Kramat-kamp en het Tjideng-kamp. De geïnterviewde werkte na de oorlog in dit kamp bij de rijstdistributie.
