Testing sentence adverbs in imperative constructions in Chilean, Peruvian and Salvadoran Spanish

The data and prompts reported herein, which form part of the FAPESP-funded project (23/16142-0) entitled "Diagnostics for Adverbs: (Micro)variation and Cartography", document a systematic test of the entire universal adverbial hierarchy posited by Cinque (1999) within imperative sentences across three varieties of Spanish: Chilean, Peruvian, and Salvadoran. The linguistic data were generated using the prompts provided to an Artificial Intelligence system and were subsequently evaluated by the project lead before being presented to native speakers of the three varieties for acceptability judgements.

Accordingly, this dataset documents both the linguistic data tested in the research (i.e. those judged by native speakers of the cited varieties) and the prompts used in their creation.
