Bulk RNA-sequencing of killifish retina-RPE across aging

Bulk RNA sequencing was performed on retina-retinal pigment epithelium (retina-RPE) tissue collected from male Nothobranchius furzeri (GRZ background) at four ages (1.5, 3.0, 4.5, and 6.0 months).
Description
Total RNA was isolated using the RNeasy Plus Micro Kit (QIAGEN), and sequencing libraries were prepared by Azenta using the Illumina Nextera XT Library Preparation Kit followed by sequencing on an Illumina NovaSeq S4 platform.
These data were generated to characterize age-associated transcriptomic changes in the retina-RPE and serve as an independent dataset for evaluating the MKMC alignment-free transcriptomic analysis framework.
