Small RNA-seq of the bovine endometrium

Listed in NCBI GEO

For the establishment of a normal pregnancy, not only the pregnancy period but also the reproductive physiology of the estrous cycle is important.

Description

This is because the endometrium prepares for subsequent fertilization and implantation during the estrous cycle. However, the miRNA profile in the bovine endometrium with regard to stage-specific expression during the estrous cycle remains unexplored.

Here, we performed small RNA sequencing analysis using bovine endometrial tissue from different stages of estrous cycle and pregnancy. As a result, differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) were identified between each stage, and the reproductive physiological functions in which those DEMs are involved were predicted.
