Bulk RNA-seq profiling of human PBMCs following repeated versus single CD3/CD28 stimulation

Listed in NCBI GEO

This study investigates transcriptional differences in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) subjected to repeated or single CD3/CD28 antibody stimulation.

Description

In the repeated-stimulation condition, PBMCs underwent five rounds of CD3/CD28 stimulation over 10 days, and the T-cell population was characterized by PD-1 and TIM-3 double positivity, consistent with an exhaustion-associated phenotype. In the single-stimulation condition, PBMCs received one round of CD3/CD28 stimulation for 3 days, and the activated T-cell population was characterized by CD69, CD25 and PD-1 positivity with TIM-3 negativity.

Bulk RNA sequencing was used to compare gene-expression profiles between these conditions.
