Inhibition of a corrupted embryonic developmental regulator reverses colon cancer to a normal-like state [Normal organoid]
Listed in NCBI GEO
Reverting cancer cells into a normal-like state offers a therapeutic alternative to eliminating malignant cells.
Description
We identified TAF10 as a molecular switch whose knockdown drives colorectal cancer cells toward a normal-like state. To determine whether TAF10 perturbation affects normal colon epithelium, we performed bulk RNA sequencing of a patient-derived normal human colon organoid line (31N) subjected to lentiviral TAF10 knockdown (shTAF10), TAF10 overexpression (FLAG-tagged TAF10), or empty-vector control (pLKO.1), each in three biological replicates.
This dataset defines the transcriptional consequences of bidirectional TAF10 perturbation in non-malignant colon epithelium and serves as the normal-tissue counterpart to the colorectal cancer perturbation data reported in the same study.
