Description

Abstract

In the present study, an attempt was made to isolate and characterize certain important plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) from ten locations of Perambalur district of Tamilnadu. The results showed that 4 all the maize soils harbouredPGPR such as Azospirillum, Bacillus and Pseudomonas to the tune of 10 CFU/g of rhizosphere soil sample. Pure culture of the above PGPR were isolated and characterized for tentative identification at their species level.
