Raw data for needle nitrogen and carbon level and isotopic compositions of the Picea neoveitchii tree and for soil nutrients in mountain areas of western Hubei province, central China

Observation was conducted at four sites with different altitudes in southeastern extension of Daba Mountain in western Hubei Province during May–Sep 2016.
Description
Needle samplings were collected for analyzing needle mass, leaf mass per area (LMA), nitrogen content based on needle area (N area content), carbon content based on needle area (C area content) and stable isotope ratios of carbon (δ 13 C) and nitrogen (δ 15 N). Soil samplings were collected for measuring nutrients content including ammonium, nitrate and total nitrogen.
