Analysing the Noncoding RNAs Involved in Rehabilitation Exercise Ameliorating Acute Myocardial Infarction-induced Cardiac Remodelling

Listed in NCBI GEO

Rehabilitation exercise (RE) can reduce cardiac remodeling and improve cardiac function in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).

Description

However, the molecular mechanisms are not fully understood. The noncoding ribonucleic acid (ncRNA) have been reported to play important roles in various cardiovascular diseases.

The specific functions of ncRNAs in the process by which RE improves AMI patients’ cardiac remodeling remain largely unknown. In this study, whole-transcriptome sequencing was performed to investigate the expression patterns of ncRNAs in the myocardium in AMI mice with or without RE. A total of 100 long ncRNAs (lncRNAs), 14 microRNAs (miRNAs), 131 circular RNAs (circRNAs), and 1028 messenger RNAs (mRNAs) were significant.

Bioinformatics tools and databases were used to explore potential ncRNA functions and relationships. Our data revealed that the most prominent pathways involved in RE-mediated improvement of cardiac remodeling after AMI are the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, cytokine−cytokine receptor interaction, chemokine signaling pathway and MAPK signaling pathway. In addition, lncRNA‒miRNA-mRNA and circRNA-miRNA‒mRNA networks of RE-mediated improvement of cardiac remodeling after AMI were constructed.

This is the first study to comprehensively identify regulated ncRNAs involved in RE-mediated improvement of cardiac remodeling after AMI and to demonstrate the involvement of different ncRNA expression patterns in the physiological processes by which RE improves cardiac remodeling after AMI pathogenesis by sequence analysis. This information will provide a theoretical foundation and test basis for further research on how RE improves cardiac remodeling after AMI.
