Gives values (in kg) required to penetrate the sulci and pericarps of fruits from five species of tree from Amazonian Brazil.
Description
The pericarps require considerably more force in 3, and a lot less in the other 2. This is significant for the foraging strategies of seed predating primates such as Cacajao, which opens 100's of fruits a day.
