Single-cell RNA sequencing dataset of gingival tissues from FAP global knockout mice with ligature-induced periodontitis

Eight-week-old male C57BL/6 WT and FAP-KO mice were used to establish periodontitis models; gingival tissues and maxillary alveolar bone tissues were harvested 14 days after ligation for single-cell suspension preparation. Library construction was performed on domestic BGI DNBelab C4 single-cell platform, followed by sequencing on DNBSEQ-T7 platform.

The dataset includes raw fastq reads, gene expression matrices, cell clustering annotation files, differentially expressed gene lists and cell-cell interaction results. Annotated cell populations include gingival fibroblasts, neutrophils, epithelial cells, macrophages and endothelial cells, focusing on expression profiles of FAP-positive stromal cells and NETs-related genes in neutrophils. This dataset generated by domestic single-cell sequencing platform can be reused for researches on stromal-immune crosstalk, FAP-mediated inflammatory and bone-destructive mechanisms, and single-cell atlas of periodontal microenvironment, providing transcriptomic resources for exploring molecular pathogenesis and therapeutic targets of periodontitis.
