Transcriptome profiling of murine mesenchymal stem cells under bipotential osteogenic/adipogenic induction with STC2 treatment

Listed in NCBI GEO

This study aims to delineate the molecular mechanisms by which stanniocalcin 2 (STC2) regulates mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) lineage commitment.

Description

Murine MSCs were cultured under bipotential induction conditions (simultaneous osteogenic and adipogenic induction) and treated with either recombinant STC2 protein or vehicle control. Bulk RNA sequencing was performed to profile genome-wide gene expression changes, to identify differentially expressed genes and functional pathways underlying STC2-mediated shift of MSC fate toward osteogenesis and away from adipogenesis.
